For the Nine Inch Nail fans :P ..

Which do you prefer, part one or part two of 'The Art of Self-Destruction'? I thought I'd ask because both parts are different styles of music. I like part two better.

Ooh, questions :P . No, I'm not in the fan club, I haven't heard Nonentity yet and I've only heard the Art of Self Destruction by Nine Inch Nails because my friend liked the songs and got me to listen to them. I've been working on downloading more of their songs over the past few weeks, so I'm looking forward to listening to them :D .

Torn Down - December 19, 2005 06:05 PM (GMT)
Oh it's different versions of Mr. Self Destruct. They sound nifty, what have you downloaded so far?

Torn Down - December 21, 2005 08:31 PM (GMT)

life_is_opaque - December 28, 2005 05:24 PM (GMT)
Not yet, but my brother uses it so I might try it.

Mortix - December 29, 2005 12:25 PM (GMT)
i like NIN i love the songs only and closer...i can play hand that feeds on bass...easiest freaking song in the world besides mudvayne - goodbye...totally piss easy

Torn Down - December 30, 2005 05:50 PM (GMT)
whats funny is the fact that jeordie has said he is the best bassiest ever a few times... :)

Mortix - December 30, 2005 10:21 PM (GMT)
LMAO bit big headed there..ryan is one of the best ever!
but les claypool rocks

Mortix - December 30, 2005 10:22 PM (GMT)
although i admire jeordie (i still call him twiggy) his talent is quite good

Torn Down - December 31, 2005 05:06 PM (GMT)
Yes, I just found it funny thinking about how much better I think Ryan is...Twiggy is great though.

SicDeathBlooms - December 31, 2005 08:20 PM (GMT)
Ryan is awesome.

Doesitreallymatter? - January 1, 2006 03:00 AM (GMT)
Best two bassists ever:

1.) Les Claypool (NO EXCEPTIONS!)

2.) Ryan Martinie (this is just my opinion)

let me say this:
House of Blues
3/11/06
NIN live...yea baby!

life_is_opaque - January 24, 2006 07:36 AM (GMT)
I finally got some new NIN music. I like their songs Only and Closer (Haha, Mortix, I just noticed you like them too :P) . Their cover version of Like a Virgin with Marilyn Manson is twisted as, but it's ok.

Torn Down - March 31, 2006 07:49 AM (GMT)

Up and coming:

2006_16_06 - Holmdel_NJ, PNC_Arts_Center: Nine Inch Nails/Bauhaus/The Peaches

2006_14_06 - Camden_NJ, Tweeter_Center: Nine Inch Nails/Bauhaus/TV on the Radio

Mortix - April 11, 2006 10:53 AM (GMT)
BLEH they rarely tour here..i couldnt go to the last one they done here cos it was 18 and over.
Inquo is great when they play nin..cos its normally one of the fast "closer" remizes, everyone there knows the words..as i found out saturday xD

Torn Down - May 2, 2006 06:02 AM (GMT)
i don't think a band like NIN merits an age restriction...especially with all the rappers running around with kids in their audiences. the stage isn't that bad, and aside from the music the band rarely interacts with the audience...

ps: they sound excellent live and the visuals are usually pretty nifty.

Gaurded_Gizmachi - May 2, 2006 04:12 PM (GMT)
Ive lost all respect for NIN. I was so disappointed with their last album, Trent Reznor could have done A Lot better.

Torn Down - May 2, 2006 04:50 PM (GMT)
alot of people were disappointed with the last cd, get over it.

Agreed. That CD sucked

Gaurded_Gizmachi - May 2, 2006 05:45 PM (GMT)
Yea I think Its just metal is getting way to main stream anymore, I think old bands such as Metallica, NIN, Slipknot, and even MuDvAyNe some what all seem like they have to change with the sound of "Modern Metal" to I guess "Stay Alive" In the music Industry today. Its really quite sad.

Dont get me wrong anyone I love all the bands listed above.

Ginelly - May 2, 2006 06:10 PM (GMT)
Couldn't have said it better myself. I miss when those bands had their own unique sound going. They're so different nowadays and just kinda blend in with everything else. I'm afraid Tool's headed that direction, judging by their new cd :( .

On a good note, some of those bands still sound very good live and continue to put on good shows- at least from what I've seen.

Torn Down - May 2, 2006 06:14 PM (GMT)
NIN is not metal...............................................
They never were...

I read an interview in which reznor said something along the lines of him making this music because he dislikes metal.

I hope not. That will suck ass.

God - May 2, 2006 09:43 PM (GMT)
Nah, the new CD is still original enough compared to shit on the radio, I think they may have just made this album too much like Lateralus instead of changing more like they usually do.

Gaurded_Gizmachi - May 3, 2006 12:56 PM (GMT)
At least their back together.

God - May 3, 2006 09:24 PM (GMT)
They never broke up...

I_am_n0thing - May 3, 2006 10:16 PM (GMT)
Pwned.

Torn Down - May 4, 2006 05:23 AM (GMT)
In fact that usually dont do anything new cd wise in about five years normally...but back to NIN thank you...go to the tool thread and tell me i'm wrong, :)
