Okay so NIN's next major release is scheduled to hit this April with the band coming back to the states in the same general vicinity. This CD is a concept album that deals with a not-so-distant future post apocalypse. The Evangelicals are in charge of the government and the president supposedly speaks the word of god. See how different it is from today? Anyway, so far as we the fans have heard, the CD is heavy electronic wise and is different from With_Teeth in both good and bad ways.

3 tracks are out so far: (quick rundown)

Survivalism - This is the single, it sort of reminds me of a rappish style. Don't know why. It's a fun song and is full of energy, even though the subject matter is probably quite negative. He is not saying bitch-nizzle...you've been warned.

Me, I'm not - This song reminds me of the lines nothing can stop me now, from Piggy off of the Downward Spiral. This is the most techno-heavy of the songs Reznor has off of year zero so far. It screams of his older stylizations. If you listen to any of the leaks, I would suggest this song.

My Violent Heart - Released on Valentine's Day, this song was quite a surprise. And it is still quite interesting, it goes in range from very low lows to very high highs, in terms of musical volume. Just give it a listen.

The lyrics so far have been pretty societal in orientation, but at the same time I feel Trent retains his personal roots, even if they are not as apparent as they used to be. So far, I think this CD will be on par with if not better than Tool's 10,000 Days. And I also feel that these three songs beat the piss out of With_Teeth's offerings.

Got the album yesterday off a friend.

So far I adore it.
It's kinda a mix of sound between Pretty hate machine and With Teeth.

My favourite song is Capital G. It is fantastic.

Lay down, relax, close your eyes and listen to "Another version of the truth"
It feels like you're sinking through the floor, Well..for me anyways.
