Title: Winds of Plague
Description: Decimate the weak (Review)

At first no one didn't really care about their first release 'A Cold Day In Hell'. If I'm wrong about this then I was the only one that didn't care. Even finding the album art for their first release was a challenge. But as soon as this album came out. A giraffe was sacrificed to honour its arrival. 'Decimate the weak' is fantastic. The cover for a start is interesting and it has a fucking samurai on it. The inlay I'm afraid is crap. But don't let that make your purchase a downer. For it's the music in that magic circular disk you actually want. The keyboard is really prominent in this album and it's great to add to the levels of awesome and epicness created to really make it that more awe-inspiring.

Play the first track while driving up a mountain on the back of an RAC vehicle is just triumphant. Sadly now though they have 'Abigail William's' ex-keyboardist. She's talented I'll give her that but she's the reason why 'Abigail Williams' split up in the first place she was sleeping with the whole band making them fight over her. I hope that when it comes to the crunch. A samurai will scream 'decimate the weak' right just before killing her.

Solos coupled with the keyboard really does make this an interesting album you'll want to continually listen to over and over. I've read reviews in magazines giving this album a 6/10 or a 7/10 and that's just ottercrap. This band clearly deserves a 9 or 10/10 because I bought it!

After listening to this you'll want to drive alongside horses directly into a battle demanding for blood of your enemies.

I feel though every time a breakdown begins in many of their tracks, they become the same ones as before repeated which can be a bit of a bore hearing the same breakdown in every song. Then after it builds and the song carries on. You get the feeling they introduced some pointless bridges in between their riffs to their breakdowns and the same for breakdowns back into their tracks.

Each track has been taken care of to sound like a classical score woven from the fine hair of 50,000 willing virgins. Then carefully wound and pressed into a small disk mass produced to many people across the globe. I'm glad I bought this album. Because the woman accidentally gave me Iconoclast too thinking it was a special edition disk.

This album is so much greater than Iconoclast I can't begin to comprehend how. I just know that this is one of my favourite releases this year.

1. A Cold Day In Hell (1:14)
2. Anthems Of Apocalypse (5:46)
3. The Impaler (3:01)
4. Decimate The Weak (3:38)
5. Origins And Endings (4:30)
6. Angels Of Debauchery (4:32)
7. Reloaded (2:28)
8. Unbreakable (4:16)
9. One Body Too Many (3:36)
10. Legions (3:49)

(34.90) - A short album, but you won't notice with all the chaos inside of it. It doesn't seem to end so quickly as it may seem. It's a nicely balanced time that gives just enough to please.

Checked their myspace and I liked the songs in there, and I liked "Angels of Debauchery" the most.
Ooh and the keybords at the beginning of "One body too many" sound really cool, btw.

If anyone else wants to check them out: http://www.myspace.com/windsofplague
